Jute mats were traditionally used for yoga in ancient India: In addition to animal skins, the early yogis in ancient India practiced on jute mats. *In combination with cotton, synthetic fiber and natural rubber, this robust natural material is still soft and gentle on the joints. The previously extremely hard surface is in this version thanks to the special material composition (hemp 35%, cotton 35%, synthetic fiber 30%) However, it is much softer and therefore more comfortable for yoga practice.
