A variety of local restaurants in the Denver Metro area gave away Thanksgiving day dinners for thousands of people for free. One popular venue is Rosa Linda's Mexican cafe on 33rd street in the Highlands. They feed an estimated 4,000 people with a traditional Mexican Thanksgiving meal of shredded turkey, pinto beans, rice and tortillas. The restaurant wanted to deliver 3,000 of those meals to those that could not come to the restaurant. While others came and picked up a meal to go or ate inside the restaurant. The Rock Bottom Brewery also served an estimated 1,300 free meals to the homeless, youth from Urban Peak and members of the Volunteers of America. Helen H.
